Loving and celebrating each other is best done in community. That’s why when it comes to celebrating Soulforce’s 25th anniversary, we’re hosting house parties!
Celebrate the past, reflect on the present, build fearless futures, and keep Soulforce sustainable!
Who: If Soulforce has changed your life…if this work been a part of your political story or your healing journey…if you are invested in Soulforce’s sustainability for the next 25 years…we want you!
What: We are so proud that Soulforce has been on the front lines of resistance to religion-based violence for 25 years. To keep fortifying this work, the Board of Directors is organizing a series of house parties where our beloved community will celebrate, share the work of Soulforce, and practice community-centered fundraising. And we need your help to host one in your community!
When: These House Parties will take place in 2023. You can schedule it around your birthday or a favorite holiday or you can pick a time in the year that fits the kind of party you want to have (tea party in the Spring, gift exchange in the winter, BBQ in the summer, etc.)
Where: We’re using the term House Party but it doesn’t have to be at your home. You can plan the party and host it at someone else’s home, a local park, a nearby library, or any venue of your choosing.
3 easy steps for getting started on your house party:
Step 1. You decide to host a House Party to celebrate Soulforce’s 25th birthday and raise money toward our goal of $25,000. You click this link to sign up to host.
Step 2. A Board Member contacts you to help you figure out party logistics, fundraising details, and Soulforce story-telling.
Step 3. You choose what kind of party you want to host (bonfire, sleepover movie marathon, dinner party, dance party, the options are endless!), what day your party will happen, and who’s invited.
