This resource is a short theological booklet from the Soulforce Spirit Resource Library that takes another look at Genesis 1, exploring the expansiveness of God's gender and in turn, the vast possibilities for human gender as beings formed in the image of the Divine.

Here we challenge the ways that the Creation story in Genesis 1 has been used to deny the equality and sacred worth of Women, Intersex People, and Trans and gender diverse peoples based in the biblical text. Through discussion questions and accessible language, we've designed this resource to support you and your communities in building a justice-centered relationship to faith and religion, founded on the principle of promoting abundant life for all people.
